Just a few weeks to go until the prestigious and highly enjoyable Clare Priory Craft Fair. I did this fair for the first time last year, as several fellow stall holders recommended it. I was not disappointed! It was bustling with people, it was full of delightful, high quality stalls, and there was a great atmosphere and camaraderie throughout the event. I'm so looking forward to doing it again this year!
I expected to have a few weeks break after Clare, in order to restock for the Countess of Warwick's Show at Little Easton Gardens on the August Bank Holiday weekend. However, having moved to Yorkshire recently, I've been looking out for good shows in the Dales area, and discovered that the National Sheepdog Trials are being held this year just half an hour's drive from my new abode. They're at the end of July, in the grounds of the beautiful Jervaulx Abbey. I applied last week and am delighted that they have squeezed me in. It's a three day event so I'm going to be very busy, both at the event itself and also in the couple of weeks beforehand. As there are a finite number of dolls I can physically make, I'll have to spend all my spare time sewing in readiness for the event. Just as well I enjoy making my dolls so much!!
So, if you live within striking distance of Clare in Suffolk, or Jervaulx Abbey in East Witton, North Yorkshire, do come along and enjoy the events as well as snapping up a gorgeous doll or a set of padded letters. See you there!
