Come along and join us! I’ll be leading a one day workshop in which you can create your own rag doll, along similar lines to the ones I make all the time - just a bit more slimmed down. You only need very basic hand sewing skills - no machine sewing involved. All the materials are supplied and lunch is provided. You’ll have a lovely doll to take home at the end of the day. Booking is essential so get in contact with the Dales Museum on 01969 666218 to book your place.
Wimpole Hall is a National Trust property with extensive grounds. The Christmas Show is in large marquees in the grounds and is a very popular event, attracting thousands of visitors every year. The standard of crafts exhibited is very high and it's well worth a visit. The usual NT entrance fee applies, plus a small fee for entry to the Show. Jemima & Co were there last year and we're looking forward to our return visit this year. If you come along please bear in mind that there is no internet service so I (and all stall holders) can't take card payments. Bring cash with you, or we can arrange a bank transfer or PayPal transaction for any goods you purchase.
A great day out for all the family, with loads of interactive events, animals, cookery demos and tasters, and other fun activities. The craft hall is near the cafe!
The National Sheepdog Trials take place in a different venue each year. This year they're at lovely Jervaulx Abbey in the Yorkshire Dales, and since Jemima & Co is now located not more than a few miles away, we're taking part! Come and enjoy a great day out and purchase one of my lovely dolls as a souvenir!!
This high class show attracts thousands of visitors every year. All the exhibitors are excellent crafters and this will be the third year that Jemima & Co have taken part. It's well worth a visit, so consider coming along. There is no separate entrance fee for the Show and RHS members can get into Hyde Hall for free.
Coolings Nursery is a great place for a day out, with an amazing stock of wonderful plants and a lovely restaurant as well. The craft fair is in an enormous glasshouse and it's very popular, attracting thousands of visitors. There is a good mix of crafts and they are all high quality. Well worth a visit! Jemima & Co were there last September, so this is our second visit and we're looking forward to it!
